The Deputy Director, Internal Audit in the Ministry of Skills Audit and Development, Patience Nyamushamba, has died. She was 47.
The late Patience Nyamushamba was born on 17 September 1978 in Seke.
Academically she was a holder of a Higher Diploma in Accountancy, a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree and a Master of Accountancy Degree.
Patience served with distinction in the Ministry of Skills Audit and Development, where she held the position of Deputy Director, Internal Audit from January 2024 until the time of her passing. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing internal control systems, ensuring financial accountability and upholding transparency within government processes. Her work was marked by professionalism, ethical conduct and a deep commitment to public service.
Before joining the Ministry of Skills Audit and Development, she was a Principal Internal Auditor in the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, Fisheries and Rural Development from December 2018 to December 2023. She also served as an Internal Auditor in the Ministry of Environment, Water & Climate from December 2013 to December 2018 and in the Ministry of Water Resources Development from September 2005 to December 2013.
She was laid to rest this Thursday in Nyamweda, Mhondoro.
