Mind Education Workshop

This morning, Professor Paul Mavima attended the Mind Education Workshop in Harare, organised by ZIMFEP in partnership with the International Youth Fellowship IYF BW, where he stressed Government’s committment to supporting education models that are holistic, home-grown and transformative.
He said investing in mind education enhances both the professional and personal lives of teachers, leading to better outcomes for learners and for the educators themselves.
“In the Zimbabwean context right now, the biggest challenge for instructors is to battle cynicism and develop a positive mindset driven with a burning desire to always be excellent in all that learners do. Every action should be contextualized within the big national aspirations, for example, “excellent economic performance, highest productivity for each sector, equitable distribution of opportunity, offering effective social nets,” he said.
