Good afternoon. It is a distinct honor to be here today representing Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Skills Audit and Development of Zimbabwe at this prestigious awards ceremony for the pico-CTF-Africa 2025 cyber security competition.
I am filled with immense pride as I look at all the bright young minds gathered here. Your participation in this continent-wide cybersecurity challenge, utilizing the innovative pico-CTF platform, speaks volumes about your dedication to mastering the critical skills needed in our increasingly digital world.
As a Ministry focused on developing and recognizing valuable skills, we understand the vital importance of cybersecurity. It is the bedrock upon which our digital economies and societies are built. The talent and commitment you have demonstrated throughout this competition are not only commendable but are also essential for the future security and prosperity of Zimbabwe and the entire African continent.
We are particularly delighted to sponsor the awards for the best Zimbabwean teams, recognizing the exceptional talent emerging from our nation. Your achievements serve as an inspiration to other young Zimbabweans and highlight the potential that lies within our education system.
